The day dawned gloomy and cool. What a difference from the last couple of days of heat! I had to put on my arm warmers and a rain jacket. At one point we stopped for hot chocolate! All that said, we had a very pleasant ride. We were on the old Hwy 12 which had very few cars. Field after golden field surrounded us as we rode. The landscape was rolling and very rural. It was a short day. Stats: 30.97 miles, avg. 12.6, 1hour.42 minutes. Tonight I am in a lovely bed and breakfast called McCann Manor. There are just three of us staying here. We are spread among three places tonight and I think we lucked out with the deluxe spot. The house was built in the 1890's

I can so see you snuggled up in that bed after all the heat and then the cold. You are doing fabulous!!! Hey, did you get the job as writer for WomensTour magazine?? B/C I am so hooked to reading your trek. Love the donkey picture...hmmm...is that where they send Democrats who don't support the healthcare bill? He looks so unhappy hehe God bless you Kathie
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are enjoying the blog and I thank you for your prayers. They are much needed as each day holds it own challenges!
Love, Kathie
Hi Kathie,
ReplyDeleteit's on the cool side here too, and I'm having the rest day as well. Badly needed! Looking at you lovely room, there's nothing like a inviting bed at the end of the ride, even a little 30ty miler... Is it your bike you sleep with too?
